How we count our results

We publish only results we can count from VA decisions.

Veterans
Veterans are veterans who paid for and joined Power Claims. Complimentary engagements aren't counted.
Veterans with a final decision
Veterans with a final decision are veterans whose VA result is final, including veterans who were refunded or saw no change. Veterans still waiting on the VA aren't counted, so unfinished cases don't drag results down and early wins don't push them up.
Starting rating
Starting rating is the veteran's combined VA rating when they joined.
Reached guarantee · Went beyond it
Reached guarantee means the final combined rating was at or above the veteran's guaranteed rating. Went beyond it (on the picker: "went past it") means the final rating was above it. For a single starting rating, that's the guarantee plus 10 points or more.
Average final rating
Average final rating is the average of veterans' final combined ratings, so it can fall between VA's 10-point steps.
Pay increase
Pay increase is the 2026 VA monthly rate at the veteran's final rating minus the rate at their starting rating, for a veteran with no dependents, averaged across veterans. It leaves out dependents, back pay, and other benefits, so it understates what most veterans received.
"Veterans like you"
"Veterans like you" shows the group that started at your exact rating when at least 10 veterans did; otherwise it shows a combined range, like 20–30%.
Conditions we've won
Conditions we've won counts veterans granted at least one condition in each category after joining, from VA decision letters and VA claim data.
